Projects

Here’s a sampling of some of the stories we’ve told over the years.

Special Appeal Story: Portland Youth Philharmonic

Founded in 1924, Portland Youth Philharmonic is the oldest continuously operating youth orchestra in the United States. To celebrate PYP’s 100-year anniversary, we produced this short film highlighting the organization’s community outreach programs and the impact these programs have on young people in the Portland metro area.

The Restoration of the Hallock-McMillan Building

History Transformed is a film we produced with Portland developer John Russell to showcase the multi-year process of restoring Portland’s oldest commercial brick and cast iron building to its original 1857 glory. History Transformed won a Telly Award in 2020 in the Non-Broadcast History category.

Capital Campaign Video: FOOD For Lane County

We partnered with Narrative Marcom + Design and the FOOD For Lane County development team to produce this film for the nonprofit food bank’s $6.5M capital campaign. This story successfully makes the case that a new warehouse would help the food bank alleviate hunger by creating greater access to fresh food.

Community Engagement Story: Clark Public Utilities

The secret to telling a community engagement story is to position the organization—and its employees— as heroes. That’s the approach we took when we produced this story for Clark Public Utilities. This film documents the PUD’s campaign to help the Camas-Washougal Babe Ruth League raise money for new lighting at historic Louis Bloch Park in Camas, Washington.

Video Case Study: Student-Led Design of the Cornell College of Human Ecology Building

When architects from the New York City office of IBI Group (now Arcadis) began designing the new College of Human Ecology Building at Cornell, they invited a team of students to share design ideas for the Commons area of the building. This unique and successful student-architect collaboration was one the key highlights of the video case study we produced for IBI Group about the project.
